Reception, accommodation and day care

  1. Tell us your story – name and age of the intended client, briefly describe the functional and health status of the client you want to enroll.
  2. During the conversation, feel free to ask your questions and a member of staff will kindly answer them.
  3. When the worker calls you back and informs you that a place has become available in the nursing home, we will arrange a specific date on which the registered client can come.

To enter a care home you need to prepare the following documents:

  • Proof of identity (passport or ID card with expiry date);
  • Medical certificate (u27 form) from a family doctor
  • Proof of disability (if any), preferably also a decision of the State Medical Commission for the Assessment of Health Condition and Working Ability (VDEĀK) granting disability;
  • Information or certificate from the State Social Insurance Agency (VSAA) on the amount of pensions or benefits;
  • If the person is placed by a social service, there must be a decision on payment arrangements and an assessment card of the person’s need for social services.

A fee for staying at the Pansionats Lauciene is EUR 36,74 per day.

Medicine, physiotherapy, catering

A nurse and carers are available 24 hours a day at Lauciene Care Home.

A physiotherapist and a family doctor provide consultations. Clients are provided with medicines and can use the care home’s transport to go to the Talsi Health Centre, Talsi Hospital or other medical institutions.

The local canteen provides meals four times a day. Meals are customized according to the client’s state of health.

Other services

Clients have access to dental services at the Talsi Health Centre, where they are transported by the care home’s transport.

The care home has a hairdressing salon where clients receive free hairdressing services once a week.

The local shop offers a variety of groceries and you can order your own treats and snacks.

Cultural events and leisure activities

Two recreation specialists organise and plan the activities and events for each month to ensure a meaningful leisure and cultural life in the retirement home.

Guest artists are often invited: ensembles, dance groups, musicians and actors. The home also has its own ensemble and theatre, which entertain clients with beautiful and heartfelt concerts and performances.

For leisure, there is a wide range of board games: checkers, chess, mini-billiards, riču raču, circus and novuss.

There is a large and beautiful room for card game tournaments. Tea afternoons and karaoke evenings are often organised.

There is a chapel in the care home where clients can go at any time and find peace of mind in prayer. On Saturdays, the chapel hosts regular services of different denominations.

There is also a library with a wide range of books and up-to-date periodicals: newspapers and magazines.

The care home has about 11 hectares of land, where a gardener takes care of the beautiful surroundings, enabling the clients to go for pleasant walks.
